An abundance from the earth was shared at our Harvest Picnic.. many mother – daughter teams ran and walked the trails together… and it was simply an altogether lovely September day to share fitness, camaraderie, fun and food!

Thanks to our awesome sponsors and camper crafters… our campers went home with drawing prizes that included fresh produce boxes from FREGGIES, Mean Girls Massage, Communichi Acupunture, and Camper Tina Fogall’s Big Spoon Jam! xoxoxoxoxo

Traversing the Trails at our Seward Park 5k/10k!

We had a 25 campers and friends turnout Saturday and clear weather for our end of the season 5k/10k on the beautiful trails of Seward Park.

Everyone got their sweat on… but special congrats to Jeni P, Laura S, Lynne G, and Sylvia G who all completed the 10k in just over an hour!  This was  incredibly impressive especially because the route was quite hilly with lots of obstacles like logs to jump over and tight turns. In fact we didn’t expect to see anyone back in under 35 minutes for the 5k but a good group made it at 30 minutes – for 10 minute miles even with the challenging terrain.

Afterward we enjoyed food and door prizes and we also collected $100 for Booty Camp Scholarships!

Thanks all for your support! Big Hugs!!

Paddleboarding August Booty Babes Outing!

We had a fabulously beautiful day this last weekend at Lake Washington for our Paddleboarding and Picnic event.  20 Booty Babes, partners and children came out to try this new and very accessible watersport, share fantastic food, and booty camp camaraderie. Thanks to Paddleboarder Tara Morgan from the the Mt Baker Community Club, and John and Logan from Stand Up Paddle Quest, who were awesome instructors, and super sweet with the kids. Stand Up Paddle Quest is offering all Booty Babes 15% off anytime you use their services – so if you missed the event get out and make use of that soon – the Lake will be warm for another month!

Tearjerker this morning

Why go to a sappy holiday movie when you can get your cry on at the finish line of the Girls on the Run 5k?!

This morning 155 girls from across the city ran a 5k around Seward Park… finishing their goal after 10 weeks of the fall Girls on the Run program.  This was my first time as part of the coaching crew at John Muir Elementary School and it was a great time playing and getting to know these girls, seeing their struggles and their brilliance.

If you want to be involved they will be looking for coaches (a 10 week commitment) and running buddies (2 day commitment) in the spring again.  Also.. this is a fantastic organization run by some pretty smart women and if not all of your holiday dollars have been spent on other worthy causes.. please donate.
